Wendy Whitehurst, a Charlotte native, has been named one of Mecklenburg County’s “50 Most Influential Women” by the Mecklenburg Times.

Her company, Custom Marketing Solutions Inc., works with companies and organizations to gain them exposure and grow their businesses through public relations, branding, content development and event planning. Her local clientele includes Cornerstone Financial Partners and Fogle Insurance Group.

Whitehurst is also heavily involved in marketing and solicitation efforts for the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson, working on the center’s major annual events including the upcoming Curry Celebrity Classic at River Run on June 18, 2012.
