PRIVATE ISSUE CARD BY DISCOVER
To promote card activity and cardholder retention, Private Issue Card offered Time Life books to Private Issue cardholders at a discount of up to 40% off the suggested retail price if purchased with the Private Issue Card. This offer was sent to over 800,000 cardholders in Fall of 1998.

AMERICAN EXPRESS SENIOR HORIZONS
Senior Membership Horizons magazine was published by American Express Publishing and sent to approximately 1 million AMEX Senior cardholders.
Senior Membership Horizons featured a section of value added offers called "Just for You", exclusively for American Express Senior cardholders. Time Life Books offered a variety of titles at a discount of 25% off suggested retail price to the AMEX Senior cardholders to increase card activity.

SERVICE MERCHANDISE
To increase credit card activity during the holiday season, Service Merchandise offered a choice of two Time Life books at a discount ot 30% off suggested retail when purchased with the Service Merchandise credit card.
Mailed to over 850,000 cardholders in the Fall 1998 billing statements.
